Once Jack settled down, he had the time of his life... free food, drink on tap, comfortable blanket to sleep on, a huge garden to roam about and catch lizards, mice, you name it, he caught it (and ate it), and all the attention and love from the humans (and one dog!) around him. He didn't need to fight for food and attention anymore. He wasn't an outdoor stray cat. He was given a collar and given a name: Jack (his previous owner's name). He was adopted, claimed, cleaned up and he gained a new identity as a house cat!

Here's Jack catching his first mouse at home... poor mouse had no say, his head was already eaten up.

I would find Jack sleeping about at random places in the house- the sink, the flowerpot, the fishpond, the garden, the fountain, underneath the washing machine, on top of the car. He was a very happy and contented cat.
